Community
Here are some ways in which I work to engage with my community that go beyond the traditional categories of research and teaching.
GeMsGetMath@BU Summer Math Camp: This is a week-long summer math camp for Boston area high school students that I co-organize with Jennifer Balakrishnan. Please see our webpage for more information.
GeMs in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics: I co-organize, with Jennifer Balakrishnan, the informal GeMS (gender minorities in mathematics and statistics) group within the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at BU. We meet a couple times each semester for things like tea or lunch, with the goal being to foster community in our department. Our group welcomes the participation of any graduate students, postdocs, or facultly in our department who idetify as female, trans, non-binary, or gender nonconforming. For more information please email me.

I gave a colloquium during EDGE 2020. EDGE (Enhancing Diversity in Graduate Education) is a program designed to strengthen the ability of women and students from other underrepresented groups to successfully complete graduate programs in the mathematical sciences.
I gave a presentation on "Social factors and underrepresentation, with a focus on women in STEM" that I gave at the WISE@Warren seminar at BU in 2022. I've given similar presentations at a BU Kilachand Honors College co-curricular and the 2016 Summer@ICERM REU Program.
