Weekly Events
Halaqas, or our weekly gatherings/discussions about different topics in Islam, are held weekly by our chaplain, in the Musallah (2nd floor of the GSU) or the Terrace Lounge. Occasionally, we even encourage some of our members to lead the halaqa! It’s a great opportunity for our community to come together each week, and always ends with great exchanges, laughs, and smiles!
For the 2024-2025 academic year, halaqas will be on Tuesdays at 7:30. If you are new, please contact us to see which day the halaqa is held.
Our Surah Al-Kahf Circles are weekly gatherings (seperate for brothers and sisters) on Fridays after Salatul Jummuah! Come and read Surah Al-Kahf along with us. You do not have to recite out loud if you are not comfortable in doing so.
Brothers Surah Al-Kahf Circle will be on the rugs right after Jummuah prayer. Sisters will have their circle in the Sisters study lounge on the 2nd floor of the GSU.
Salatul Juma’ah or Friday prayers, will be held in the GSU Alley (basement of the GSU). Prayers will start at 1:15pm.
Directions: Take the elevator to the basement, make a left and then another left.
Fajr Events are held once a month, where our fellow ISBU brothers and sisters come together for the early morning prayer in the Musallah on the second floor of the GSU. When the weather gets warmer we even sometimes pray on the Esplanade of the Charles River! Afterwards, as of ISBU tradition, a free breakfast is provided! It’s always a great time for the community to come together and motivate one another to wake up and pray together!
