Rachel Maxam is a Colorado attorney whose practice focuses on protecting individual rights and holding powerful institutions accountable. She represents clients in civil rights and constitutional litigation, including police misconduct, excessive force, and unlawful detention, as well as employment discrimination and retaliation claims under federal and state law.
Rachel has spent her career advocating for justice in complex civil rights matters, from suing local governments for abuses of power to defending employees against discrimination in the workplace. She worked extensively on cases involving §1983 claims, First Amendment retaliation, and due process violations.
Her background also includes work with Brown, Kaplan, Gold LLC and the Independence Institute, where she gained experience in litigation and appellate advocacy. Rachel earned her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she served as President of the Federalist Society and competed in trial advocacy. She holds a B.A. in Political Science, cum laude, from George Mason University.
