Our Needs

What we need from you...

1.) We are asking past classes, students, and family members to provide names of their classmates, friends, and family who served in the military.  These names will become part of the "Wall of Service." Our current list of names can be found HERE.

From the 1920s into the mid 1970s, high school graduation or a diploma was not mandatory to enter into the service. Some had to join early to help support their families; some quit school to join out of patriotism, etc.  We do not want to exclude these past students. Times change and our purpose is to identify former students, and not just graduates.

Former students is defined as those who attended Blair, Taylor, or Blair–Taylor School Districts. Additionally, former students is meant to be inclusive of students who attended rural schools that are located in the current geographic boundary of the BTSD. For example, East Franklin School, Rose Hill School, Jackson School, French Creek School, Beach Corners School, Chapultepec School, Reynolds Coulee School, Sunnyside School in Tappen Creek, and many others.

Service is defined as active duty, National Guard, or Reserve for Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, etc.

2.) Individuals may lend or donate items for display or give a monetary donation to be used toward the creation and maintenance of the display cases and the "Wall of Service." Any contributions will be greatly appreciated!

The form for donating items can be found and downloaded below.  It is also available at the High School Office.
