WHAT DOES IT MEASURE?
It measures critical reading, math problem-solving and writing skills that are important for successful academic performance in college.
WHO SHOULD TAKE THE PSAT/NMSQT?
College bound juniors
I TOOK THE PSAT 10 LAST YEAR. HOW IS THE PSAT/NMSQT DIFFERENT?
The PSAT 10 is a practice test that will cover the same content areas as the PSAT/NMSQT, but it is specifically designed for sophomores. The PSAT/NMSQT is designed specifically for juniors so it will be slightly more difficult and will help prepare you for the SAT in the spring.
WHY TAKE THE PSAT?
Earn scholarships and academic recognition through the National Merit Scholarship Program. This is the ONLY way for juniors to qualify for National Merit Scholarships.
