The mission of Blessed Trinity Catholic High School speaks to four pillars of Catholic education that we should strive for each student to attain. Of those four pillars, academic excellence and spiritual formation are critical in developing student success. In the area of academic excellence there has been a tremendous push towards STEM and STEAM learning within traditional (public and private) schools. This integrative approach to educating students in the areas of Science, Technology, Arts, Engineering, and Math has created great opportunities for students, especially in the area of project based learning. However, as a Catholic School, we see an even greater opportunity to expand the reach of these subjects while simultaneously integrating the pillar of spiritual formation into a STREAM project that involves not only the classroom, but the entire community.

In an effort to create a campus wide STREAM project that integrates Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, and Math, we propose to have our students build a tiny home using existing blueprints and supporting documentation and accompanied by student design elements. The tiny home will be donated to an identified family in need through a combined effort of Theology classes and Campus Ministry.
