Broome-Tioga BOCES Leadership Academy

Broome-Tioga BOCES hosts an annual summer professional learning opportunity for leaders. The purpose of the academy is to provide ongoing support for leaders in the region and to facilitate networking and collaboration across component school districts. 

The Leadership Academy, once known as the Principals' Academy, was established many years ago. We believe the academy was established in 1986 and has taken on many different forms over the years. It has grown to support all building and district leaders across the fifteen component school districts in the BT BOCES region (and beyond).

In 2023, the Leadership Learning Advisory Group was established. This group includes leadership representatives from the BT BOCES component districts and helps to advise on professional learning opportunities for leaders. In its first year, the group assisted with planning for this year's academy. Moving forward, we hope that the group will continue to advise on new and innovative opportunities to support leaders.
