BSS Book Club... target grade levels 3rd-5th
Meets over google meet or in person depending on the circumstances. We will discuss the book we are reading so the kids connect with and understand the book. Hopefully by discussing the books, the kids will be able to stretch their minds and make connections from the books to what is happening in their lives.
Meets: Every other Tuesday starting on August 4th, time TBD
Current Book: Fish in a Tree by Linda Mulley Hunt
Synopsis: A middle school girl named Ally struggles with reading and disguises her inability to read by acting out in class. Finally a teacher sees through her disruptive behavior and discovers how intelligent and creative Ally is and begins to work with her on reading.
The Book Club is sponsored by the National Honor Society and organized by Morgan Sharbaugh and Grace Krane.
