HOSTED BY BRITISH SCHOOL JAKARTA
6-9 FEBRUARY 2025
WELCOME
Dear Participants & Coaches,
I would like to extend a very warm welcome to you all to the British School Jakarta for the SEASAC Basketball Div.2 tournament. We are delighted to host the tournament and are very proud to be using our excellent facilities to accommodate such a high-quality event.
As always, a fundamental element of a SEASAC tournament is the sense of community collaboration, and the opportunity to represent your school and perform to the best of your ability.
My personal thanks go to my Assistant Head / Athletic Director, Mr. Matthew Cherrett, and his team, who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to get the tournament prepared.
I am looking forward to spending time at the event, witnessing strong competition, fair play, and the wonderful individual talent on display.
I wish you all a fantastic time at the tournament, and BSJ warmly welcomes you to wonderful Indonesia.
Yours sincerely,
Phil Edwards
Interim Principal
Dear Participants, Coaches and SEASAC community,
Further to our interim principal welcome, I wish to also extend a BSJ warm welcome to everyone involved in participating, coaching or supporting SEASAC 2025 Div 2 Basketball. We are looking forward to welcoming schools from across South East Asia to BSJ and providing a healthy competitive environment for all students. For visiting families we hope you enjoy our campus and the delights of Indonesia whilst supporting all students during their performances.
As with all events hosted by schools there is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes and I want to take this opportunity to personally thank, whole heartedly, the members of staff who have come together to make the basketball event a success.
BSJ and SEASAC share the collective vision of wanting to celebrate the spirit of teamwork, the joy of achieving, and the valuable lessons that sport teaches us. Players from all schools, representing different regions and cultures, have converged here to showcase their talents on the court. They have trained tirelessly, honed their skills, and are ready to give their all for their school over the coming days.
Good luck to all the schools and players participating,
Yours sincerely,
Matthew Cherrett
