TWIGS is an audition-based program open to Baltimore City residents and students enrolled in Baltimore City Public Schools.
Students must apply to register for auditions. Auditions are required for :
NEW students auditioning for TWIGS.
FORMER TWIGS students who are not currently enrolled i.e withdrew from the program
CURRENT TWIGS students who would like to audition for a NEW department.
ALL CURRENT Visual Arts 4th and 5th Graders must re-audition for the next program year.
AUDITION REGISTRATION March 16th - April 3rd

“Rising”- the term we use to describe the grade your child will enter during the next school year
Visual Arts - Rising 4th through rising 8th graders can audition
Dance - Rising 2nd through rising 8th graders can audition
Instrumental Music - This depends on their instrument of choice:
Rising 2nd through rising 4th graders can audition for: Piano, Harp, Violin, Viola, or Cello
Rising 5th through rising 8th can audition for those instruments listed above, AND: double bass, classical guitar, percussion, trumpet, horn, trombone, tuba, euphonium/baritone, flute, oboe, bassoon, clarinet, or saxophone
Acting and Stage Design & Production - Rising 5th through rising 8th graders can audition
Vocal Music - Rising 6th through rising 8th graders can audition.
Film & Visual Storytelling -
Rising 6th graders can audition for animation.
Rising 7th graders can audition for Adobe Suite for Filmmakers and Animation.
Rising 8th graders can audition for Adobe Suite for Filmmakers.
Enrollment Fees
A non-refundable Registration Fee is required for enrollment. This fee allows us to deepen our investment in your child’s successes.
Dance, Music (Instrumental and Vocal), Film & Visual Storytelling, and Acting - $50
Stage Design & Production and Visual Arts - $85
*Fee Waivers are available. More information is provided during the enrollment process.
