Kai has shown incredible dedication to their learning, putting in hard work on IXL and crafting a thoughtful CER paragraph on Bronx Masquerade with Ms. Finn. Their effort and perseverance truly stand out.

Beyond academics, Kai is a valued community member and friend during WIN time, always bringing a positive attitude to playing games. In science, he goes above and beyond to help his peers.

Congratulations to Julia Harvey for being recognized as this week's Student of the Week! Julia has shown incredible dedication and thoughtfulness in her studies, offering insightful contributions in Bronx Masquerade discussions during ELA and actively engaging in group research on the Revolutionary War in Humanities.

She consistently works hard, both in and out of the classroom. Additionally, Julia is taking her learning beyond the classroom by participating in the Hildene Essay Competition, exploring the important debate on restricting cell phone usage.

Abdi Ahmed

This week, we are proud to recognize Abdi for his dedication and positive contributions to our school community. Abdi recently demonstrated incredible perseverance by making up his science work and significantly improving his grade. In humanities, his insightful critical thinking has made a meaningful impact on classroom discussions, enriching everyone's learning experience. His hard work and commitment were also evident in math, where he put in great effort to excel on his Khan Academy quizzes. Abdi’s curiosity is one of his most admirable qualities. He is always eager to explore new ideas and ask thought-provoking questions that deepen classroom discussions. Beyond academics, Abdi is a kind, helpful, and valued member of our community!

Aizlyn O'Brien

Aizlyn is a standout student whose vibrant personality and dedication inspire everyone around her. Insightful, bubbly, and outgoing, she brings energy and positivity to every challenge she takes on.

This week, Aizlyn demonstrated her hard work and determination in math by raising her IXL score by over 100 points, a testament to her commitment to academic growth. In addition to excelling in the classroom, she shined in the chorus concert and shared her love for music with the school community. Aizlyn’s talents don’t stop there—her passionate delivery of the Declaration of Independence speech in humanities captivated her audience and showcased her confidence and eloquence.

This week, we are thrilled to shine the spotlight on Isaac, a wonderful student who exemplifies kindness, helpfulness, and curiosity in everything he does!

Isaac’s kindness is felt by everyone around him. Whether it’s offering a smile to a friend in need or lending a hand to someone who’s struggling, Isaac’s genuine care for others makes our school community a better place. His helpfulness doesn’t stop there—he’s always ready to assist his classmates, showing friends helpful tools, reminding friends stay on task, or sharing fun facts about Amsterdam.

Isaac is a positive role model for his peers. His kindness, helpfulness, and curiosity make him a joy to have in class!

Wutu Wang

Engaged 🌟 Helpful 🌟 Self Motivated

This week, we celebrate Wutu Wang for his exceptional engagement, helpfulness, and self-motivation. Wutu consistently goes above and beyond, exemplifying what it means to be a leader and a learner.

Wutu’s creativity shone through when he took the initiative to create his own secret society to support his faction during the Constitutional Convention simulation. His strategic thinking and enthusiasm brought excitement and camaraderie to the activity, inspiring his peers to participate and collaborate.

In addition to his leadership skills, Wutu has demonstrated a deep commitment to academics. He often helps classmates tackle complex math problems, offering guidance and encouragement. His dedication to learning is also displayed in his self-guided study of poetry, furthering his understanding of poetry and the Harlem Renaissance. His passion for literature is evident in the thoughtful connections he makes and his eagerness to share his insights.

During our science lab, Wutu excelled in both his curiosity and responsibility. He engaged enthusiastically in building an electromagnet and took the initiative to ensure the safety of his classmates throughout the experiment. His focus and consideration helped create a positive and secure learning environment for everyone.

Wutu Wang is a shining example of what it means to be engaged, helpful, and self-motivated. Congratulations, Wutu, on being our Student of the Week!

Sakhira "The Hira" Subba

Curious🌟Determined🌟Fun

Sakhira is such a joy to have in our classes! She greatly adds to our learning community by being on task, asking great questions, and pushing peers’ thinking. In English, after completing her regular coursework, she dove into extension activities. She went above and beyond by exploring the connections between the Harlem Renaissance and Beyoncé’s modern interpretation of renaissance themes in her album Renaissance. Additionally, Sakhira wowed her peers and teachers with an amazing speech that she wrote and presented in humanities. Sakhira is a shining example of curiosity, creativity, and hard work!

London Charbonneau

Kind🌟Helpful🌟Inclusive

It has been so amazing to have London on Infinity this year! She is a team player who goes out of her way to support her peers, often offering help with their work and ensuring everyone feels included and encouraged. Her positive attitude and willingness to collaborate creates a welcoming environment.
