Service Learning 

I have completed a total of 58 hours  for service hours.

51 of these hours were completed during my Junior and Senior year the other 7 were done my first 2 years of high school. My service hours has ranged from picking up trash at the park to helping the less fortunate and even my president obligations for Monarcas.

What are your talents? 

One of my natural talents is my natural connection with children as well as my ability to play soccer defensibly and offensively and my amazing listening skills.

What do you enjoy doing? 

I enjoy hanging out with my friends, Baking and playing soccer. 

What skill or talent would you like to improve? 

I would like to improve my skills for procrastination I have worked on this skill but this can always be improved.

What are you already doing that could be part of your service learning programme? 

I am a President of the Latina excellence club - Monarcas and help out Ms. Mix for the IEP Class which will help me with my patient relationship for my future nursing career.

What would you like to be involved in? 

I would like to be involved In many different activities that involve any type of patient care.

Describe a time when you helped someone else or helped with a cause? 

I volunteered at the clothes for kids this organization helps kids in the Beaverton School District that are not as fortunate and able to buy clothes.

Describe a time when someone helped you? 

During my sophomore year I had an extensive injury and to get back on my knee I did OPT but to get back and integrated into the team everyone on the team helped me and took it easy on me for about a month.

About what issues do you have concern or feel most passionate? 

I am very passionate about suicide among athletes, specifically ones still in school. I wrote my reflective project about it.

What would you like to learn more about? 

I would like to learn more about investments and stocks, I hear very good financial opportunities for them but I don't understand them completely.

What have you always wanted to try but haven’t yet? 

I have always wanted to try snowboarding It seems like a really fun sport and challenging as well but I feel I could dominate it.

What are some things you could do to prepare you for your future career in the community?

Helping strangers and being more kind to other will help me prepare for Nursing 

What is the best way you like to help out your community?

Offering a hand to strangers and avoiding the bias on why they are in the position they are.
