What is STEAM?

In this intensive online camp, we will be incorporating all five elements of STEAM to provide students with a well-rounded, creative, and fun week!
What Can You Expect From This Camp?
At Full STEAM Ahead, we will focus on each aspect of STEAM by doing a variety of activities and projects based on each subject. From origami arts, creative writing, desmos graphing, science simulators, and basic web design, we want kids to merge their interests into the amazing things they will create and learn. We will also provide many resources for students to use after the camp. The kids will need a device (preferably laptop/computer) and should be ready to learn!
We will also breakout into smaller groups if the kids need extra help on specific tasks!
When Do We Start?

The dates of this summer camp are:
Monday June 21st, 2021 through Friday July 2nd, 2021, for 5 days a week (M-F). This is a 100% online camp where we will be interacting with campers through Zoom.
This is a two-week-long, curriculum-packed course. The timings will be every weekday from 10:00 AM PST - 12:00 PM PST.

Our Journey
We (Srinidhi & Janani) have both done a variety of camps surrounded by STEM. Though we learned a lot, we feel that creativity isn't implemented well in the traditional STEM camps. We want kids to think outside the box and learn new things, and STEAM is the best way to do that. As far as teaching, we both have participated in volunteer tutoring for organizations like the Chetana Foundation. We were able to construct our own curriculum and work with kids of all ages through Zoom. Through these experiences, we have learned a lot and we're so excited to be teaching our own STEAM Camp this summer.
