Our Journey

We (Srinidhi & Janani) have both done a variety of camps surrounded by STEM. Though we learned a lot, we feel that creativity isn't implemented well in the traditional STEM camps. We want kids to think outside the box and learn new things, and STEAM is the best way to do that. As far as teaching, we both have participated in volunteer tutoring for organizations like the Chetana Foundation. We were able to construct our own curriculum and work with kids of all ages through Zoom. Through these experiences, we have learned a lot and we're so excited to be teaching our own STEAM Camp this summer. Besides our love of teaching & wanting to provide an interactive, creative, STEAM camp, we had another goal for this camp. While this pandemic hasn't severely impacted many of us, millions of people in the U.S. have lost their jobs, their houses, and their money. We may not be aware of our surroundings when we're caught up in the fact that schools are closed, masks are required, families are quarantining, friends are social distancing, and many other significant changes that have affected our daily lives. However, the COVID-19 virus has taken a serious toll on many. In these unprecedented times, it's very important to realize our surroundings and help each other out. That's why we have decided to donate 100% of what we raise from this camp; so you will not only be involved in a fun & creative summer camp, but also you would be helping those who really need it!!
