SC PASS
The South Carolina Palmetto Assessment of State Standards (SC PASS) is a statewide assessment program in science and social studies for students in elementary and middle school. During the 2019-2020 school year, Proviso 1.94 of the 2019-2020 General Appropriations Bill suspended testing of grade 8 in science and grades 5 and 7 in social studies. That arrangement remains in effect. As a result, the SC PASS program currently only assesses science in grades 4 and 6. At this time, no other grades or subjects are assessed with SC PASS.
