Nursing Services
Purpose: The Office of Special Services promotes the health, wellness, and safety of students within Barnwell School District 45. The District has school nurses within each school, and these nurses work to provide a high quality of nursing services within a safe and nurturing environment to the school community. School nurses ensure high academic achievement and success by keeping students safe, healthy, and ready to learn.

School Nurses
School nurses are vital to the educational process and academic growth of all students. They ensure the safety and well-being of children by eliminating health related barriers to learning. Additionally, school nurses are an integral member of the school's interdisciplinary team, and they support and promote a healthier and safe school environment. Each school in Barnwell School District 45 has a designated school nurse. Please contact the school nurse assigned to your child's school if you have any questions regard nursing services.
