Barnwell School District 45
Purpose: The Barnwell School District 45 Office of Special Services is responsible for locating, evaluating, identifying, and serving students with disabilities ages three to twenty-one who are eligible for special education services as defined under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act (IDEA). Students are provided with an individualized educational experience where evidenced-based interventions and instructional practices are utilized to strengthen skills. Assessments are regularly administered and data is analyzed to continuously adjust educational programs to best meet the needs of our students. We challenge and prepare students with disabilities for the transition to adulthood by targeting and developing skills needed for the 21st century.
