We always want to be sure your kids are safe, so we need to be sure the driver is well rested. To do this, we get a late check out for the driver. Then, on Saturday morning, the driver will drop the team at the meet, and go back to the hotel until the meet is almost over. That way, the driver will be well rested for the late night drive.
Description: This is our first state tournament in AA. It's hosted in Bozeman, so we have light travel this time out.

Big Question is a fundraiser. Bozeman gets a grant from the National Speech and Debate Association to conduct this one-day tournament. They send us $15 for each student who participates. We obviously want as many of our kids as we can - maybe we'll try to set up a preliminary round with all the kids in the school - we DO get $15 for EVERY kid who participates.
So we may try to run prelims the week before - open it up to all kids, and then take the top 10 to Bozeman...something like that.
