Hi, speech and debate parents! This page is a place where I'll try to keep you up-to-date on things that specifically relate to you as a Belgrade Speech and Debate parent. Some of this information is also available on other pages, like our schedule page, or our upcoming events page. But this page will try to focus the message to parent-specific things.

We Need Your Help

Below are a couple events that we need your help with: a fundraiser for next week, and the sorting ceremony the following week. Please sign up to help us by clicking on the green buttons that say "Help with...." The buttons are above and below the description of the events.

MEA Fundraiser

We have a tremendous opportunity to raise some money for the team. For this opportunity, please encourage your students to help out, too. One of our team parents has offered to provide coffee at the MEA conference that Belgrade is hosting next week. His company will provide all the supplies, we'll provide the workers, and the team will get half of the money raised. It's a tremendous opportunity for us, but we need to get the people in place to help out.

Sorting Ceremony

We still have our sorting ceremony scheduled for October 22nd. Sorting is an annual tradition with the team. As you may know, we sort the kids into Harry Potter houses. (It helps us manage a fairly large team by breaking them down into groups, and the kids really seem to enjoy it.) Sorting is where kids are selected into their Belgrade Speech and debate houses. WE NEED A LOT OF PARENT PARTICIPATION TO MAKE THIS EVENT HAPPEN FOR THE KIDS.
