Camp Watchme runs on the heart, skill, and compassion of our volunteer team. Whether you are a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) or a Patient Advocate Leader (PAL), your role makes a life-changing difference for our campers and families.
Each CLT reviews their camper’s medical profile before arriving. This helps you prepare for a more detailed, in-person assessment during orientation.
Camp Watchme requires all CLTs to attend online and in person orientation. Online orienation is usually a few months before camp. This is a great time to ask questions and clarify expecations before arriving at camp. Onsite orienation occurs after you arrive at camp. This is to review materials provided, discuss daily review meetings, and answer any questions before hands on assessments start.
Daily Treatment
Campers receive Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) every morning and evening, protocol provided by Camp Watchme.
Evening CDT includes updated measurements, multi-layer short-stretch bandaging (supplies provided onsite), Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), skin care for any problem areas, and other therapeutic modalities as needed.
Morning CDT follows the same routine, ending with campers moving into their daytime compression for activities.
CLTs stay with their assigned camper throughout daily activities to help with adjustments and ensure comfort and safety.
CLTs may lead short presentations for parents or campers during scheduled education sessions based on the camp curriculum.
CLTs share rooms with other CLTs (same gender) in designated housing, separate from campers.
Mornings start early — treatments begin around 7:00 a.m.
Evenings end with lights out at 10:00 p.m., though the exact start and end of your day may vary with shower schedules and evening events.
PALS are our camp counselors and morale boosters! You’ll help create a fun, welcoming, and supportive environment for campers and families.
PALs in each session keep our day organized and on schedule.
During parent education sessions, PALS and CLTs are with the campers — leading activities, helping with transitions, and keeping spirits high.
When parents are present, you’re welcome to join group activities or take a short break for rest and self-care.
PALS may be housed with other adult volunteers or with campers, depending on space. We do our best to provide adult volunteers with downtime and personal space.

PALS will be invited to share their personal stories during a Speaker Spotlight Session, inspiring families with real-life experience and encouragement.
