Grade: 12

Credit: Up to 3 credits

Prerequisite: Must have at least a 2.0 GPA; at least 19 credits 

Internship is designed to assist students in their specific career focus areas and gain work skills and experience to help them successfully transition from school to career. All students will benefit from this course regardless of their chosen career path. Students must have an internship site secured within a reasonable amount of time after the course begins.  This course does not meet in a physical classroom; Google Classroom is used for communication between students and Coordinator. Students are responsible for transportation to/from campus on a DAILY basis as well as to/from their internship sites. 

• Students gain experience and learn skills beneficial for college and/or workforce

• Goal is to have students work a minimum of 10 hours a week

• Students can have up to 3 class periods of Internship; 1st – 3rd periods OR 5th-7th periods

• Students will receive a grade/credit per period of Internship

• Coordinators will be in contact with students/supervisors regularly
