Spring is in the air! If your household is anything like mine, the days are filling up fast with practices, special events, reminders and a whole lot of FUN! We are closing in on the end of the 2024-25 school year but before we do there are many, many special events happening district, building, grade level and classroom wide! I encourage you to enjoy this exciting time of year and know that there will be extra communication coming from school staff in the weeks ahead, all to help keep the fun organized.
The spring is always an exciting time of year and at BE it's a time we get to celebrate so much of the growth your amazing children have made over the course of the year. We are currently wrapping up state testing and completing our final diagnostic test session of the year. The Art show was a great way to showcase student growth from year to year and the upcoming music concerts will undoubtedly give students a chance to shine brighter than they did the previous year! These are all just little glimpses into what has been accomplished over the last 8 months and I can't wait to watch it all unfold! The staff at BE has given their very best to make THIS YEAR an outstanding one in your child's education!
I hope as the sun stays out a little longer and the temps begin to warm up (hopefully) that I see many of you out and about at the special events filling our calendars.
Positive Behavior Interventions and Support = PBIS FUN
Some of the PBIS Principal Coupon Winners for this month got to enjoy a Luxury Lunch experience in the "BE cafe" being served by Mrs. Thormeier, while another group participated in "GAME TIME" and got to take a break from class for a special game of dodge ball!
We love providing opportunities that motivate and encourage great choices by our students. These are just a few of the faces who demonstrate that great behavior every day here at BE.
The 2025 BE Art Show was again a HUGE success! Thank you to Mrs. Ridgway our 3-5 art teacher and Mrs. Grant our K-2 art teacher for pouring their love of art into the students at Bryan Elementary!
On Tuesday, April 29 from 5:30 to 7:00 PM, families are invited to the Bryan High School Commons and Fine Arts wing where your child will be able to try out both our Band and Orchestra instruments. Bryan High School Band & Orchestra students will again be present to help guide your child through this process. We will hold two informational meetings in the cafeteria. The first meeting at 5:30 PM will give an overview of the Orchestra program while the meeting at 6:00 PM will give an overview of the Band program. Additionally, each meeting will explain the expectations and deadlines involved in the recruitment process. From there you are free to spend as much time as needed trying out instruments.
Ms. Tappen has been working hard with her 3rd and 4th graders to prepare an amazing spring concert! The Concert begins at 9:30 at the Auditorium at the Arts and Ed. Building and will also be live streamed.
