RHMS Flag Football Clinics
Our Flag Football Clinics are about one thing... Learning the ins and outs of “The Game” of Flag Football!
We’ll be holding three after-school clinics, each running until 5:00 PM. Depending on the number of participants, clinics will take place at either RHMS or Devaul Henderson Recreation Center (athletes will be bused over if needed).

🕔 Clinic Times (UPDATED AS OF 12/3/2025):
Due to the HIGH INTEREST NUMBERS, we have had to update our Flag Clinic times. This will accommodate the ability for everyone to be able to attend! CLINICS TIMES WILL BE HELD BASED ON GRADE LEVEL:
7th & 8th Grade - after school to 4:45 PM.
6th Grade - 5:00 to 6:30 PM (Be ready by 4:45 PM) - PARENTS WILL NEED TO BRING THEIR ATHLETE TO HENDERSON!
🚍 Practices @ the Henderson Rec:
7TH AND 8TH GRADE Athletes will dismiss to the locker room during athlete dismissal to gear up and check in with coaches. Once checked in, we’ll head straight to the field — the goal is to be stretching and warming up ASAP!
(Captains, Co-Captains, and Returners have the OPTION to stay and work with the 6th Grade Athletes during Clinics)
6TH Athletes... Your parents will have to bring you to the Henderson Rec. Dept. Field #2 is located behind MES. Please BE READY to go onto the field by 4:45. If we can start warming up before 5:00 PM, we will try to start earlier to allow more time to get work in.
🕔 Pickup Options:
7TH AND 8TH GRADE Athletes will break it down and walk off the field between 4:40 & 5:45 PM
6TH Athletes will break it down and walk off the field between 6:25 & 6:30 PM
(Captains, Co-Captains, and Returners have the OPTION to stay and work with the 6th Grade Athletes during Clinics)
✅ Equipment to Bring:
Mouthpiece (Required to participate)
Black athletic shorts (no pockets)
Long pants for colder weather
Cleats (No metal spikes)
Tennis shoes (Indoor use due to weather)
Water bottle (Hydration is key!)
All Athletes must have a valid athletic physical on file with RHMS. This will be COMPLETED Via the DragonFly Portal! CLICK HERE for more details! Physicals must be uploaded by FRIDAY, 1/9/2026, at the latest... 1/16/25!

2026 Flag Football Season
🏆 Eyes on 2026: Back-to-Back Region Champions? Let’s Work for It!
As we set our sights on the 2026 Flag Football Season and the goal of defending our Region Championship title, we’re excited to announce that tryouts for the 2026 RHMS Flag Football Team will be held 🗓️ January 26th – 28th, 2026! CLICK HERE for full Tryout Information and Competition Criteria
💥 Team Structure:
Following tryouts, 30–35 athletes will be selected to form our:
Varsity (A) Team
Junior Varsity (B) Team
These athletes will represent RHMS throughout the 2026 competitive season.
📅 Season Timeline:
Parent Meeting: Game schedule and expectations will be shared
Late February: The Season kicks off with our annual Black vs. Gold Game
March: Non-Region Games
Late March – April: Region Matchups
🏈 Expectations:
Once selected, the 2026 Flag Football Team will practice nearly every weekday (based on the RHMS academic calendar).
⏰ Attendance is mandatory for the full duration of each practice.
If you must miss a practice, communication is essential — please speak directly with Coach Lyons for approval!
