Welcome to the Fertile Crescent.
In this museum, you will find four inventions that did wonders for the modern world today. Our first room is iron making and will show the importance of iron and how it built some of the biggest empires we have yet seen today. Our second room is shipbuilding, this shows how sea vessels were used and how advantageous they were for trade and war. Our third room will present the coin system, this will show the importance of their currency and what it was used for. Lastly, the alphabet, this room will display how important this was for other cultures and explain how it was made by the Phoenicians.
The Fertile Crescent was the birth of many civilizations and helped them evolve as a whole. One major part of the location was Mesopotamia which was surrounded by the Tigris and Euphrates rivers. When it rained, the rivers flooded that area which helped create rich soil in an otherwise dry terrain. The soil helped civilizations produce more crops and affected all civilizations positively by allowing them to grow.
This is a map of the Fertile Crescent and its important locations. The Mediterranean Sea borders it as well as the Persian Gulf and Red Sea. It labels some very important places in the Fertile Crescent, such as Babylon, Sumer, and Phoenicia. You can also see the Tigris and Euphrates river.
