Prior to Kickoff: Group and Civilization assignments go out, students begin individual research. Students complete annotated priority list form, showing their top 3 choices for best innovations for their civilizations.

Week of Oct 1st: Research Information Organizer due no later than 4:00 PM. (All students should have 20 facts and minimum of 4 sources)
Week of Oct 12: In-Class Writing of Outline
Week of Oct 19th: In-Class Writing of Research Paper
Oct 27th: Workday for Fluvanna & Louisa at BW
Oct 28th: Workday for Greene, Nelson & Orange at BW
Oct 29st: Workday for Goochland & Madison at BW
November
Nov 9th: Text for your Invention page due. Students also need to have at least two images for their websites.
Nov 16th: First website checkpoint. Teachers will check student sites for progress. All of the group’s pages should show progress, including:
The Home page, which should include the "who is doing what" list, at least one image, and introductory text giving background info on the historical period, conditions leading to the inventions of the time period, etc.
All of the Invention Pages - each should have at least two images and some text in place
The Map Page - Map should be started and embedded in page
The “Works Cited” page - should have at least three resources per invention page listed.
The "Attachment Page" - should have links to The Group Contract and Individual Student Papers.
Nov 23rd: Website Peer Reviews
All sites and pages should be complete prior to the peer review.
Text from Home Page and Invention Pages must be submitted in a Google Doc to Classroom.
Peer reviews must be completed by 4:00 PM.
December
Dec 11th: Final websites must be completed no later than 3:30 PM. They will be locked down at that time.
