The BRVGS Senior Capstone is required for all BRVGS 12th graders. Students must:
Choose an individual topic of their own interest
Serve an internship with an expert in that area of interest
Research and write about a "burning question" related to their topic
Apply their learning to a Community Service experience which has significant impact for their community
Other "things to know" about the BRVGS Senior Capstone:
BRVGS seniors have a full class time to use to work on their projects.
The BRVGS Senior Capstone class takes place in the Fall in most schools (the course lasts for the entire year at William Monroe and Goochland High Schools)
Students are required to participate in formal presentations and the BRVGS Senior Expo in the spring
Many rising seniors serve internships in the summer before their senior year, with approval from the Director and their Advisor.
BRVGS Senior classes are supervised by a BRVGS advisor, who guides them through the project throughout
