The Egyptians first started to settle next to the Nile River as soon as 6000 B.C. At first, Egyptians hunted to get their source of food. Later on, agriculture was a reliable source of food. The Nile was their main transportation route for trading. The development of agriculture led to many technological and fundamental advancements. The surrounding deserts brought natural protection, as well as the southern cataracts. Egypt was well known for their cultural and religious beliefs. One aspect they are known for is their belief in the afterlife, and supernatural things that existed within the natural world.
