Honors Algebra 1 Final Exam

1. The final will cover chapters 8, 9, 10.1-10.7, and 11.1-11.2, with 10 Bonus points on Chapter 7 systems word problems for a total of 110 points. 

2. Here is the distribution of points

   1. Ch7 Systems  Word Problems (10 points)

      1. 1. 1. • Know how to do the Word Problems -  Chapter 7 Systems WP's 

   2. Ch8 Exponents (20 points)

   3. Ch9 Factoring (30 points)

   4. Ch10 Graphing and Solving Quadratics (40 points)

   5. 11.1-11.2 Radicals (10 points)

3. Start preparing NOW!

4. The final will have multiple choice (54pts – no work required) and free response (56pts – must show clear work for full credit). 

5. All of the questions will be similar to the problems in the Honors Practice Final.  I recommend you do the practice test. The answers are at the end but the work is not shown.  See me for help.

6. The Honors Practice Final is made up of your Chapter Tests.  You will receive a paper copy in class.

7. Study the Honors Practice Final, your Chapter Tests, and your Practice Tests

8. You can bring one 3×5 index card (it must be handwritten and you can use BOTH sides).

9. You can use a calculator for all problems

10. Extra Help: There will be NO review during class time. It is more helpful to answer your specific questions and/or do an afternoon study session(s).

    1. Email me to set up a time to go over any questions you have during Flex time. 

    2. Email me know if your class or a small group (minimum 4 students) would like to have an afternoon study group.  

11. Tip for Success:  My biggest study tip is to start preparing early and finish a day before the exam.  Create an index card.  Get a good night’s sleep and relax when you take the exam.
