Middle School Concerts:

Select Choir:

Auditions for select choir are open to grades 6-8. You must be in chorus to audition. The auditions will be soon after the school year begins and after school so listen for the announcements and look for posters.

Auditions will include:

Singing a simple song such as Happy Birthday or America

checking your range (how high and low can you sing?)

and sight singing, looking at a short example and trying to sing it without practicing. If you want to practice, look on my NYSSMA page for links to samples.

Uniform:

Ladies: Wearing your assigned shirt and black slacks (not leggings) and black dress shoes.

Gentlemen: Black dress shirt and black slacks. Black dress shoes and black socks.

School dress code applies.

Gentlemen should plan on a dress shirt and tie. Ladies, pants- no leggings, no skirts.
