Let's get ready for 4K! Students will enjoy classroom time and getting a jump start on the upcoming school year. They will meet their teachers and learn the routines of school. Students will learn through play and socialization. They will enjoy time outside, moving to music and creating new friendships!! It is highly recommended that students are independent with toilet training before entering Jump Start. Please send an extra set of clothes along with your child.

Every day will be a variety of different fun activities. Students will be able to learn math games, read new stories, and participate in science experiments. This class promotes getting back into the school schedule while being able to make new friends.

Welcome to 4th and 5th grade fun! This class will offer fun activities to get back to reading, writing, math, and science. Students will enjoy outdoor activities as well.
Babysitter’s Training with Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
Date: June 11th , 12th and 13th
Students must be 11 years old by start date of class to participate.
Class is limited to 12 participants.
Cost is $42.00. Pay by cash or check made out to Rusk County Public Health. Payment is due August 10th .
This class provides the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly care for children and infants. Whether you’re planning to babysit in the future or already babysitting this class will help you build your skills to be a trusted and reliable babysitter. With fun learning and practice of skills you’ll be prepared and confident to care for infants and children. Topics covered include: Basic child care skills, Practice of skills including, holding, feeding, and diapering, Choosing age appropriate activities, Promoting positive behavior and managing challenges, Responding to emergencies, including care of choking children/infants, how to provide first aid, and perform CPR.
With successful completion of this class students will receive: American Red Cross Babysitter’s Training Certification that is valid for 10 years. American Red Cross Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification that is valid for 2 years. Students must attend and successfully complete all class sessions to earn these certifications.
There are no written exams for this class.
