All MEMS students and residents of VT have access to the state databases for research and information needs here: Database Access for MEMS. When accessing from out of state you can use this password to log in: maplesyrup.
The K-12 Resources page will be your best bet for finding subject-specific databases to help you with your information need.
For support using the databses, please see the "Research Help" tab above.
Vermont newspapers published before 1929 and state ancestry records may be accessed for free through MyVermont.gov. The link to Ancestry.com and Newspapers.com for Vermont state records only will become available once you've set up an account and included a contact address that identifies you as a resident of VT.
As well as historic newspaper articles, there is some more recent content available such as from the Rutland [Daily] Herald and Burlington Free Press (both with a month delay). The Manchester Journal is only archived from 1861–1922.
To find a specific newspaper, on the left enter the name under Narrow By. Content is limited to what has been scanned and made available.
