The Ralston Special Education teaching department consists of three Resource Specialist (RSP) teachers and two Special Day Class (SDC) teachers, who serve students on an active Individual Education Plans (IEP) with mild to moderate disabilities. A school psychologist, speech language pathologist (SLP), and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) are also on-site to provide the needed services for students on IEPs. District and County specialists come to campus to provide services for mental health, occupational therapy, audiology/hearing, orientation & mobility, adaptive PE, assistive technology, and more.
The Special Education department works closely with general education staff to implement a student's IEP and provides consultation for the staff. For further information about the Belmont-Redwood Shores Special Program Department, please refer to the District's website, which can be found here.
