Welcome to 6th Grade English Language Arts
In this class we will be reading deeply and writing effectively. You will improve your overall writing style and increase your vocabulary. You will be reading daily and deeply. As a class we will be reading novels, as a group you will be reading in Book Clubs, and as individuals you will be challenging yourself and reading challenging genres.

The grading scale for ELA will be as follows:In class reading and writing assignments 30%Writing Projects and Comprehension Tests 30%Vocabulary Tests and Quizzes 30%Reading Logs and Participation 10%
