Welcome Digital Media & Arts

I am looking forward to this year and this opportunity to explore Digital Media & Arts with you. This is a very creative and flexible elective. You will learn much, share your knowledge with others, and increase your skills using Digital Media.
Technology is constantly improving and being updated. We may use a certain platform stated in this course description, or we may come across a more pertinent program that is easier to use or has more functionality.
This is your elective! We will discuss and collaborate on subjects and projects that are reflective of our community at Sandpiper and the Shores. I look forward to creating an amazing elective with you that we can share, inform, and teach others with at our school.
Topic/projects in Digital Media (including, but not limited to):
Creation of Google Slides and SitesUsing Canva to make an infographicVideo making:Filming and editing WeVideo tutorials to learn how to use basic functionsUsing still pictures to create a story videoYouTube "How To" videosStop-Start Animation with iMovie Ted-Ed Clubs - Kids create their own Ted Talk for recording and performing.
Grading and ExpectationsAlthough this is an elective it is extremely creative. It is not free time to use unwisely. You should be focused on improving your skills, learning new techniques, and assisting your group in creating a project to be proud of.
Grading for the class will be as follows:Class participation 30%Creativity/Daily Work/Effort 30%Final Projects 30%Responsible Use of Class TIme 10%
