RENTAL AND SUPPLY INFORMATION

FOR PARENTS/GUARDIANS

Bridgewater-Raritan has established vendor specifications to ensure that students will be provided with quality instruments and services that will promote a positive experience for your child.  Vendors should supply all materials and services necessary to keep the instrument in good working order.

Do not send any rental forms or checks to school

Please:

1) Read and become familiar with the vendor specifications provided.

2) Select one vendor of your choice.

3) Complete their rental process either On-Line or In-Store.

NOTE: The cost of the book and some supplies are not included in the rental fee.

4) Make all necessary financial arrangements directly with the vendor of your choice

 before August 15.

5) For students who live in an area where noise might be a concern, purchasing a practice mute is also advantageous.  

6) Optional: Parents may choose to purchase a clip-on tuner for their student's instrument. We recommend the Snark chromatic clip-on tuners (there are a few different models).

Cooperating Vendors, or other vendors whose information is included in this mailing, are not to be considered the exclusive rental agency. All instrumental music students will have the right to provide their own instrument if they so desire. However, all the instruments used in the instrumental music program, from whatever source, should meet established standards to better ensure your child’s success.

In addition to an instrument, all students must have a book and some important supplies needed to play and care for the instrument. A list of these items can be found here.
