Students were tasked with creating a digital exhibit called "Architects of American Identity". The project required them to act as curators, analyzing how diverse voices and texts from early American history have shaped concepts of liberty and justice. Their process involved brainstorming connections between authors like Patrick Henry, Frederick Douglass, and the Transcendentalists; selecting two to three core texts to focus on; and developing a central question for their exhibit to answer. Finally, after planning the exhibit's main point and identifying key artifacts like quotes or historical images, students would have had to research and learn how to use a digital technology—such as a website builder like Google Sites, a presentation tool like Prezi, or another online exhibit platform—to build and present their final curated project.
We were attempting to create a digital website/museum on Canva for people to learn about the voices that shaped America.
We did a short documentary, we did it by researching, making a script, and working together.
Frederick Douglass and Martin Luther King Jr. championed universal voting rights, exposing America’s enduring struggle between inclusion and exclusion in its pursuit of democracy.
We used an AI generated video to execute this, it wasn't perfect so we are redoing it with a more personal feel.
