Cohort E Fully Approved TIA District

As of February 2024, we have 33 newly designated teachers in our district.  Those teachers received notification from HR, TEA and can go to SBEC and see the designation on their certificate.  The designation is on the upper right-hand corner of the certificate.  This is an example:

Cohort G Expansion Application Update

We received an email on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 that our application needs some modification to reach Full Readiness.  The following areas will need revised and most be resubmitted by June 28, 2024:

1.   MAP assessment is not aligned to AP English courses. 

2.  CIRCLE assessment (PreK)- need to define district created growth targets.

3. ENCORE/TEACHTOWN (Life Academics)- need to define district created growth targets.

4. MAP Science Pretest to EOY STAAR (5th and Biology)- needs to be explained more in depth how growth targets will be determined, consider MAP science only for 5th and Biology or district created pretest (TEKSREADY) with STAAR EOY.   

We will resubmit and will be notified by August 1, 2024, of resubmission approval.  I will be emailing the teachers in each of these categories to get feedback on the resubmission related to student growth.
