We definitely do not want to see you go, but we understand that life sometimes leads us in different directions.
If you are thinking about leaving or know you are going to leave at the end of the school year, please schedule a formal time with your principal to have a conversation about your next move. By you taking the initiative to plan this meeting, you give yourself time to prepare what you want and need to say before your departure.
This also helps the district in being able to staff for the following school year so we can build the best team for Brownwood ISD and our students.
General Information/Instructions
The district transfer process is utilized to provide an opportunity for any employee to indicate interest in having his/her assignment changed to another campus. Employees interested in employment on other campuses should complete the transfer request form link at the bottom of this section.
The form will be submitted to the Director of Human Resources, Adrienne Horton to begin approval process. Then the form will follow the following approval path:
1. Current Campus Principal
2. Preferred Campus Principal
3. Director of Human Resources
Not All Transfer Request Will Be Approved
To be considered, the following criteria will be used:
· Employee is in good standing in current position
· Current campus will be able to replace position
· Employee must have appropriate certifications, experience or training for any position requested
· Preferred campus will evaluate transfer request considering existing openings and other applicants
Processing of Transfers
The Director of Human Resources, Adrienne Horton will evaluate the transfer in light of existing openings and other applicants before the transfer process will begin. A transfer request does not guarantee an interview for an opening or an approved transfer. Preferred campus principal will decide position assignments.
Situations may occur where the district transfers an employee who has not initiated a transfer request. Most commonly, this would occur with changes in student enrollment counts, grade level reconfiguration of campuses, or unforeseen circumstances.
