Joanna MacLean, MD
Joanna MacLean, MD, is a psychiatrist in Women’s Behavioral Medicine at the Women’s Medicine Collaborative. She is an assistant professor, clinician educator in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior and Department of Medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Dr. MacLean received her medical degree from The Warren Alpert Medical School, where she was a member of the Student Health Council, recipient of the Isaac Ray Award in Psychiatry, and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her residency in adult psychiatry at Cambridge Hospital, affiliated with Harvard Medical School, and served as chief resident of women’s mental health at Cambridge Hospital with a longitudinal elective at Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Women's Mental Health in Boston, Massachusetts. Her clinical interests include reproductive psychiatric issues, including mood and anxiety disorders particularly related to the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, postpartum period and menopause. Dr. MacLean has been an advisor to the Student Health Council since returning in 2014 and is a two time recipient of the Dean’s Excellence in Teaching Award at the Warren Alpert Medical School.
Kathleen Boyd, MSW, LICSW
Kathleen (“Kathi”) Boyd is a clinical social worker with over forty years of clinical experience. She is a 1985 graduate of Smith College School for Social Work and holds an undergraduate degree in Human Development. Since January of 2013, she has been the director of the Rhode Island Medical Society’s Physician Health Program in which she is responsible for the daily management and operation of the program including conducting initial interventions and providing ongoing case management for all referrals to the program which serves physicians, physician assistants, dentists and podiatrists. Kathi holds academic appointments at Brown University, Department of Medicine, and Johnson & Wales University’s Center for Physician Assistant Studies. In 2017, Kathi participated in a strategic planning process that resulted in a structural reorganization of the Rhode Island Physician Health Program.
Kelly Holder
Dr. Kelly Holder currently serves as the Chief Wellness Officer for the Warren Alpert Medical School. Holder earned her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Loma Linda University, and completed postdoctoral training in Behavioral Medicine from Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. She has experience working in community mental health, private practice, college counseling centers, and health systems. Most recently she served as the Director of the Office for Professional Mental Health at Penn State University College of Medicine and Hershey Medical Center. She is trained in national mental health and suicide prevention gatekeeping programs: Mental Health First Aid and Question. Persuade. Refer (QPR) Dr. Holder is passionate about mental health and aiding individuals to improve their well-being and the quality of their lives.
