"Optimal bound for survival time of the SIRS process on star graphs" (with Oanh Nguyen and Iris Yang)

We resolve a conjecture regarding the upper bound of the survival time for the SIRS epidemic model on star graphs and establish a corresponding matching lower bound. This result provides a precise characterization of the survival time at the immediate neighbors of high-degree vertices, serving as one of the foundational steps towards understanding the behavior of the process on larger graph structures.
