Dear Admitted Students,
Welcome to MCBGP!
This is an amazing time to be a molecular biologist. Technology is advancing so rapidly that each year we're able to do experiments we could only have dreamed of a few years ago. These experiments are leading to great leaps in our understanding of the mechanisms that govern life and amazing new approaches to treat disease. We are really excited to help you prepare to lead our field into a very exciting future.
Our mission is to provide PhD students with the quantitative, conceptual, technical, and professional skills to conduct rigorous research and become future leaders in the life sciences. We know that these goals are best accomplished in a training environment where everyone feels represented, valued and respected.
Congratulations on your success in our very competetive application process. We are grateful that you applied and we look forward to getting to know you as you learn more about all of the opportunities that Brown University and Providence have to offer you.
Sincerely,
Mark Johnson and Gregorio Valdez
