Instructors

Yu-Wen Hsu

Yu-Wen is a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics. She received her Ph. D. in pure mathematics at Yale University in 2013. Prior to joining the Brown faculty, she was a preceptor in the Department of Mathematics at Harvard University where she had the opportunities to work on active learning as well as training undergraduate course teaching assistants. Yu-Wen loves chatting with students and helping them enjoy doing math. She is also a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee in the Math department at Brown.


Jordan Kostiuk

Jordan is a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics. He received his Ph. D. in pure mathematics at the University of Alberta in 2018 researching algebraic geometry before coming to Brown where he fell in love with teaching mathematics. A proud alumni of the MAA's Project NExT, and a frequent visitor of the Sheridan Center, Jordan is enhusiastic about sharing his passion for both mathematics and education with students.
