Analysis and design of a variety of fundamental analog circuits and their practical applications to a variety of fields - life sciences, wireless communications and computing. Elementary device physics and circuit characteristics of semiconductor diodes and MOS field effect transistors (FETs). Concepts of noise and fundamental limits of sensing will be discussed.
Prerequisites: ENGN 520 or 1230 or consent of instructor (students should have a basic knowledge of KVL, KCL, simple RLC circuits and frequency domain behavior).
Critical Review for 1620 (somewhat dated)
Introduces core concepts in accounting, financial management, and corporate strategy. The final third of the course leverages these core concepts in the context of entrepreneurial finance.
