Innovations in Microelectronics for Health Care, Wireless, and the Post-Carbon World

We're working on several exciting research projects to move microelectronic technology into new realms.

Wireless Brain-Computer Interface. Our group - in close collaboration with researchers around the globe -  is developing innovative approaches to deploy wireless brain-computer interface systems for clinical applications. This research involves novel circuit design, technology development, improved signal-processing algorithms and material and packaging development.

Wireless Power Transfer. Our group is working on new techniques to transmit electric  power through space wirelessly - efficiently, adaptively, and flexibly. The applications are limitless, from electric car charging to power implanted devices within the body and everything in between.

Background Testing and Characterization of Wireless Systems. Wireless systems suffer from a variety of performance impairments, which require expensive characterization and testing prior to deployment. We are investigating Machine Learning techniques to enable these systems to test and correct themselves "in the field."
