Continued practice in reading, writing, and speaking. Emphasizes the development of reading proficiency and speaking in cultural contexts. Students read authentic articles and selections from Japanese media to enrich the discussions on contemporary issues, such as gender and cross-cultural communication. Course includes two collaboration projects with other schools and pair projects. Prerequisite: JAPN 0400 or equivalent.
