As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure that the Brown volunteer experience is meaningful, productive, and safe for all our dedicated volunteers, I am pleased to share our recently established Brown Volunteer Code of Conduct (please see attached). Receipt of the Code of Conduct indicates acknowledgment and is considered valid for the duration of a Brown volunteer’s service, regardless of role or duration (unless there is a change in the Code).
If you volunteer in multiple capacities for Brown, please note you may receive this same information from more than one volunteer liaison. We are incredibly grateful for your diligent efforts on behalf of the University and appreciate your service as ambassadors for Brown.

All clubs have minimum engagement requirements (based on club size) that must be met to remain in good standing with the Brown Alumni Association and to receive annual funding.
To receive annual funding this year, we will consider your club’s performance around meeting these minimum engagement requirements over the past year and your plans for this upcoming year. If you have any questions regarding the status of your application or the application process, please email alumni_clubs@brown.edu.
Deadline September 3, 2025

Program funding can help subsidize uniquely “Brown” club events that you might not otherwise have the budget to host. Please complete the new online application as far in advance with as much information as possible for each event! At least 60-90 days before the event*. Funding requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and holistically with all submissions.
*Program funding is on a rolling basis. However, for the highest likelihood of funding, please submit as soon as possible for each event. In unique circumstances, some funding may be granted if submitted at least 30 days before the event.
This is only for Board members who are tasked with utilizing BRAVO for the Alumni group. Anyone on a club board who will be creating events, sending emails, downloading registration reports, or tracking dues will need access to BRAVO.
First, you must activate your @alumni.brown.edu email by logging in and agreeing to the Terms of Service (we run on the Google Business platform so you log in via Gmail). If you're unable to set up your email account, please email alumni_help@brown.edu or call 401-863-9662 between 9am - 5pm EST. Monday - Friday.
All events requesting Program Funding must complete after the event takes place. Any outstanding event reports will delay any additional funding requests.
Archive of previous Club Volunteer Email Newsletters. These are only received by the current board leadership. Make sure you keep us updated on leader term-offs and additions!
