For our Spring 2020 production, it seems fitting that this be the tale our team was destined to tell...

In 1606, while Shakespeare was quarantined during the black plague, he wrote the now-famous play King Lear. In light of COVID-19, the cast and crew of Brophy's Theatre department are no longer able to produce a live performance of "Shakespeare in the Park" on campus. Therefore, we transitioned from play to screenplay and went going digital. Just like Shakespeare, we're telling the story straight out of our own bedrooms! We will combine individual clips and footage to produce one final, collaborative project in the end. Only, instead of going back to Elizabethan England, we bring you to Scottsdale, Arizona in the 1980s. We invite you to explore our website material as we begin our work "behind the screen."

Thank you for joining us on our journey, and welcome to Lear 1984.
