The Broncobots are Brophy College Preparatory’s student-led robotics organization, dedicated to innovation, teamwork, and real-world problem solving. From coding and engineering to leadership and community outreach, we strive to build not just robots, but a brotherhood driven by curiosity and purpose.
We are dedicated to educating students in the engineering and design of robots. We accept all students regardless of previous experience and work to educate and give back to the surrounding community. By creating an atmosphere of Gracious Professionalism™, Broncobotics develops students who care for and recognize the God-given talents in one another. We give those members a chance to explore themselves and learn and grow as people so that they can go out and make a difference in the community.
At the heart of the Broncobots is collaboration. Each member contributes unique skills that come together to form one strong, cohesive team. We believe in learning by doing, helping one another grow, and pushing the limits of what students can achieve when given the tools and trust to lead.
As Brophy’s flagship robotics team, FRC 991, First Robotics Competition, combines advanced engineering, programming, and leadership. Competing on the global stage, we design complex robots, develop strategic solutions, and represent Brophy’s values of excellence, integrity, and community.
With five student-led teams, FTC, First Tech Challenge, offers our members the chance to innovate, compete, and collaborate on a smaller scale. Each team designs, builds, and programs its own robot for regional and state competitions. They learn to balance independence with mentorship and teamwork.
Our FLL, or First Lego League, program mentors younger students as they begin their journey in STEM. Broncobot members guide Loyola Academy scholars teams in coding, design, and teamwork, helping them discover the fun and creativity of robotics through hands-on challenges.
