As students, you should be mindful of your digital footprint as you complete classwork and assessments and are logged in with your Brooklyn Latin email accounts. Take a moment before posting and consider whether it is appropriate for this learning environment. There is no reset button, and “it was just a joke” is not a sufficient justification.
There is a zero tolerance policy for students who engage in any inappropriate conduct or misuse of any of the learning platforms. A non-exhaustive list of inappropriate behaviors, taken from the discipline code, is listed below:
using profane, obscene, vulgar, or lewd language or engaging in such behaviors
tampering with, changing, or altering any of the records or documents made by teachers or the school
posting or distributing libelous, harassing, offensive, and/or inappropriate images, videos, documents, materials, or links
engaging in harassing, intimidating, or bullying behavior with other students or teachers
We will adhere to the DOE guidelines, as laid out in the discipline code, in addressing any behavioral infraction or misuse of any of the online learning platforms.
