What does a Literacy/ Learning Specialist do?
The primary goal of a Learning Specialist is to strengthen areas of skill and target areas of weakness by providing structured, small group instruction to students who teachers believe will benefit from additional support in a smaller and more intimate setting. In addition, Learning Specialists provide guidance to classroom teachers, serve as a resource for parents, and communicate with outside service providers in an effort to provide your children with a comprehensive system of learning support.
